YKK Plant Tour - Macon
Event Details
YKK has developed and implemented a manufacturing system that’s truly unique called “total vertically integrated manufacturing system”. This method requires YKK to produce everything, from raw materials and machines to finished goods in-house. This manufacturing process requires many plants and at their Macon foundry they make their own brass from zinc and copper to produce zippers, hook & loop fasteners, plastic buckles, snaps and buttons. Attendees will see how how zippers are made and assembled for products used in the apparel, automotive, and space industries.

TOUR REQUIREMENTS:
NO PHOTOS OR PRESS ALLOWED. CLOSED TOE FLAT SHOES ARE MANDATORY. No High Heeled Shoes!
Networking is provided before and after the tour, so please give full attention to the presenters and hosts during the tour.
