The 2016 Georgia Automation EXPO was a huge success. The Georgia Manufacturing Alliance (GMA) partnered with SherTek Inc. to bring some of the top names in automation to Gwinnett County.
The EXPO highlighted the latest in factory and machine automation. Factory representatives shared ideas for best utilizing technology to lower costs and improve efficiency. Each company provided a brief introduction of their latest products during the 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. “Lunch and Learn.” Attendees visited the exhibitor’s displays to ask specific questions during the general networking session from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
“New jobs are coming to Georgia through manufacturing. It is vital that companies automate repetitive tasks to eliminate wasting human capital,” said Jason Moss, CEO of GMA. “Factory and machine automation is a simple solution that allows American companies to compete with low-skill, low-wage foreign competition. The goal of automation is not to replace jobs but to create better-paying, higher-skilled positions.”
